Cat Intake Update June 1, 2026
At this time, OFOSA is temporarily closed for cat intakes. We are currently caring for a very high number of cats and kittens, and our foster homes and resources are at capacity. To continue providing safe, responsible care for the animals already with us, we are unable to accept new cat intake or surrender requests at this time.
We understand this may be frustrating, especially when you are trying to help a cat in need, and we truly appreciate your compassion. Please check back for updates, as we will reopen cat intakes when space and resources allow.
If you need to find a new home for your cat or a cat you’re assisting, please fill out the form below. Filling out the form does not guarantee intake for the cat. Please use one form even if you are requesting intake of more than one cat.
OFOSA accepts incoming cats by appointment only as space and resources allow. We aren’t able to assist in every situation, and there is often a wait time (which ranges from days to months) before we’re able to take a cat into our care.
