Killing healthy and adoptable animals is not the answer to pet overpopulation. If it were, we would not be dealing with even higher numbers of overpopulation than we were 10 years ago. The idea of having only dogs and cats born into this world who have loving homes waiting to care for them may seem like a dream to some, but at Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals, we like being a bunch of dreamers and we think it’s a dream worth working towards. Unfortunately, millions of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized every year in the United States. OFOSA has a very straight forward mission; To save as many of those animals as humanly possible, provide necessary medical care and find them loving forever homes.
